During this two-day meeting, 2017 Knowles Teaching Fellows will continue to focus on aspects of their teaching practice that maximize students’ opportunities to learn. Fellows will have the opportunity to learn about the Question Formulation Technique. When used in the classroom setting, this strategy helps students learn how to produce their own questions, improve them, and strategize on how to use them. When used with Fellows, this technique provides an additional way for Fellows to consider the opportunities they are developing for students to learn. The component pieces of this strategy involve divergent, convergent, and metacognitive thinking.
