John H. Walker taught math and engineering the first three years of his career in South Central Los Angeles. His most recent teaching role was teaching engineering in Durham, North Carolina. He had a previous career as a civil engineer but would rather help people become engineers than be one himself, which led him to education. He now creates training for 3D CAD software. Outside of work, he serves as a Finance Zone Advisor for the Region II Executive Board of the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE).
