Teaching Discipline
Mathematics
Why Mathematics
“At an early age mathematics felt like a second language, one I mastered fluently and earned praise for. However, in college, it became less of a breeze and more of a stumbling block. Through hard work and a shift in perspective, I not only succeeded but also discovered that mathematics is much more than numbers and formulas – it’s a way of thinking, unique to each individual.
As a teacher, I have realized that while some view mathematics as a source of frustration, others find it empowering. My greatest joy comes from helping students uncover their own connection to mathematics, turning a subject once feared into one they can approach with confidence. For me, mathematics is more than a subject; it’s a journey of discovery.”
