Zoe Rothenberger

Teachers serve their communities, being mentors to all of their learners. It’s not just about the lesson plan or having a 100% passing rate—it’s having a positive influence on a person’s life by challenging them, inspiring them, praising them, and providing them with the opportunity to grow their skills.”

Zoe’s Story

Teaching Discipline

Mathematics

Why Mathematics

“I was inspired by the great mathematics teachers I had in high school to study mathematics in college. I always wondered why so many people hated math and wanted to do something about it.”

Professional Experience

Zoe interned at a law office during college, as she was deciding between social justice work and teaching. She loved teaching more and noticed there were opportunities for social justice work in schools. While at the University of Texas, she also worked part time at their Institute of Transformational Learning, conducting market research for master’s degree programs across the United States.

Zoe began teaching at Meridian World School in spring 2018.

Hobbies

Zoe enjoys baking bread and doing jigsaw puzzles.
