Teacher Leader Corp Toolkit

Knowles Senior Fellow Laura Darnall has completed a website build and accompanying blog post about building teacher leadership in schools. Her website, Teacher Leader Corp Toolkit, is in partnership with the Verizon Innovative Learning Schools.

Designed to enhance educators’ technology skills, the toolkit provides essential resources to help schools establish and sustain a team of teachers who can lead and support their colleagues on a wide range of school initiatives.

“While the Verizon Innovative Learning Schools partnership is known for providing internet-connected devices, instructional technology coaches, and professional learning and IT support to Title I schools across the country, a lesser-known component of the program is the Teacher Leader Corps (TLC)—a team of passionate and forward-thinking educators who embrace new teaching methodologies and advocate the use of technology to enrich learning experiences, regardless of their level of prior experience with technology. Their primary role is to support the coach in diffusing innovative instructional practices across the campus.”
