Biology experiences in the summer: Keeping the faucet flowing for all students.

To combat summer learning loss and the achievement gap, teachers should assign long-term, hands-on, inquiry-based biology projects that encourage students to explore the outdoors. These activities slow the learning-loss flow, prepare students for the next school term, and provide an alternative to sedentary indoor electronic device use.
