Families entrust us with their children, their most precious loves. We challenge those children to think, to grow, to question, to understand and explain, and to care about their fellow humans. We hope they get so excited they decide to become the next generation of awesome scientists changing the world for the better.”
Megan’s Story
Megan Fretz is a science and math instructional coach in Durango Colorado at the high school from which she graduated. After teaching mostly life science at the high school and middle school level for 11 years, Megan wanted to continue to impact public education in a meaningful way and has found her work with high school math and science teachers to be incredibly fulfilling and challenging. continuing a theme from her teaching years, Megan is inquiring into productive struggle in adults. What does it look like? How do you plan for it? How do you provide opportunities for adults to want to engage in it? As a member of the leadership team for the Knowles Professional Development Facilitators Collaborative, she has found a community of other PD facilitators to deepen this inquiry.
